We recently teamed up with international fashion and lifestyle blogger Natasha Ndlovu of Bisous Natasha and South African celebrity, TV presenter, producer, content curator, blogger and just all around marvelous Roxy Burger to plan and host an exciting event that created a platform for bloggers, across various industries including food, travel, fitness or fashion, to connect and share ideas and experiences.

The concept was to bring together like-minded individuals who share valuable online space, to generate conversation amongst one another as opposed to simply watching each other from a distance. As huge supporters of South African bloggers, we were delighted to jump on board to tie it all together by securing the perfect venue, drawing up the ideal guest list and obtaining suitable gifts for our guests.

The event was titled #BloggerXChange and moyo Zoo Lake was host to some of our most influential creatives including; Lulama Wolf, Palesa Mahlaba of Simply Palesa, Mi’Chal Naidoo, Ryan Enslin of My Lime Boots and Steve aka the notorious Joburg Foodie, to name but a few.

An incredible morning was had by all as we mingled, chatted, engaged and ultimately exchanged ideas, thoughts and experiences, whilst enjoying a delicious breakfast in a perfect setting. A huge thanks to all the amazing brands who contributed generously to ensure the event was a success –  moyo Zoo Lake, TALLY WEiJL, Typo, Elegance Jewellers and Fields of Colour.

Bloggers are often discounted, but in the age of digital disruption it is crucial that brands are aware of their potential influence.

 “Bloggers are an integral part of new-age information sharing and social influence, targeted at a smaller audience, with a higher level of interest.
